We can presently cut lumber and burls up to 7' wide and are working on a saw to cut even wider. After cutting the lumber, most of it is air dried in one of our 6 sheds.  Air drying under cover, helps to prevent it from degrading from the sun and rain.  Depending on the thickness and species of the wood we air dry it for up to 4 years.  After air drying, some of our lumber is kiln-dried in our solar dryer but most are kiln dried in one of our two custom designed vacuum kilns. Our vacuum kilns are designed to produce high quality, kiln dried lumber that has very  little cup or twist even with wide slabs.  We also can do custom planing up to 24" wide and sanding up to 50" wide.

Since we are a full service lumber business we also offer custom sawing, lumber drying and milling. Our bandmill can cut lumber up to 48 " wide and 20 ft long. Our chainsaw mill can cut logs up to 7' wide. We have a solar kiln and 2 vacuum kilns for drying lumber. For milling we have two 24" planers, a 54" wide 2 head SCM belt sander plus a Mattison straight line rip saw.

Customers from all over the Northeast tell us it is well worth the drive to here to personally hand select their own lumber for their projects. We are located in the southwest corner of Massachusetts where New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts meet. We are just a 2 ½ hr drive from both Boston and New York City and a 1 ¼ drive from Albany.
