We have Valley Oak slabs in stock online in sizes that usually range:

• Up to 35" wide
• Up to 5' long
• Up to 2" thick

Origin: Valley Oak, also referred to as California White Oak, is found in the valleys and foothills of California.

Color: The heartwood of Valley Oak ranges from tan to yellow-bown. The sapwood ranges from off-white to light brown.

Janka Hardness: 1360 (hard). Hardness is comparible to White Oak and Ash

Decay and Weather Resistance: The heartwood of Valley Oak is considered to be decay resistant. It is also durable and often used for flooring.

Workability: Valley Oak is a heavy wood. It glues, stains, and finishes well.

Uses: It is often used for cabinetry and flooring.
